Israeli officials have dismissed Nicholas Kristof’s New York Times investigation into the sexual abuse of Palestinian prisoners as “blood libel”.
The vehement denial sits uneasily in the Israeli political and media landscape it comes from: one where the abuse of Palestinian prisoners is openly discussed, and in some quarters, celebrated.
