Epstein fallout: Files expose extent of network and access to elites

A roster of industry leaders, CEOs and political figures face fallout after being named in the Epstein files, from reputational damage to resignations and charges.

While links do not necessarily indicate wrongdoing, cases include Peter Mandelson quitting Labour after emails showed close ties and a $75,000 payment; former Norwegian prime minister Thorbjorn Yaglund charged with corruption; and Harvard’s Larry Summers put on leave. Others stepping down include Hyatt heir Thomas Pritzker and Goldman Sachs lawyer Catherine Rumela.

Al Jazeera’s Katelin Meredith reports.
